Ex- Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former doctor now faces charges for committing assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
The Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
The charges come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
