During a commanding showing, England secured one more win against their opponents, with several players turning in standout performances throughout the game.

First-choice Lineup

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to make in the first half but then forced to intervene from an opponent's curled attempt. His sliding tackle against Qazim Laci showed excellent reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Challenged against the opposition's main danger in Hoxha. Operated through the middle initially then shifted out wide once Saka entered the fray. 7

John Stones Moved up the pitch with the ball at his feet, something he's known for previously. Sometimes was too casual in possession and the tactic was shelved at half-time. 6/10

Dan Burn A nuisance at set pieces, per usual, perhaps is an alternative for his teammate in the backline instead of his partner. One wayward distribution in the second half came close to a goal from Albania. 6

Nico O’Reilly Another composed performance from the 20-year-old after his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the most of an exquisite flick behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot is his to lose already. Seven

The newcomer His first start for his country. Somewhat sloppy in possession though his inswinging corners caused problems. A handy tempo-setter available to the boss to utilize against teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow for a rash tackle. Six

Declan Rice Deliveries from corners and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed license to roam down the left flank only to be offside when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Given a deserved substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Functioned in an advanced spot down the right and put in the hard yards. Demonstrated moments of class and dragged an effort wide. Replaced in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. 7

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's top opening in the opening period, his shot well saved from Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate hanging back, he was forced to offer an outlet out wide yet his deliveries into the box varied in quality. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure netting 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The first a classic poacher’s finish while the second an excellent headed goal having drifted away away from the opposition. Aged 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to get into the game on the left flank. Had a good opening when set up by the midfielder however Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of influence when substituted. 5/10
